Harrison’s a local chap, and over the years he’s been dropping into the shop discussing the thought of a future build with us and his current 2014 model 79 series. Instead of selling his pride and joy and replacing it with a new one, he decided to keep the one he knows so well, reinvest and give this old girl the ‘Full Zhoosh’
Although an earlier model cruiser, the tray, canopy and accessories are still interchangeable between models so turning this into an almost brand new looking car is easily achievable.
The major things we we have done in this build (besides the obvious tray and canopy) were the suspension/GVM upgrade and the new track-corrected rear diff. Being a post-registered modification the GVM upgrade and Jmacx new rear wider diff required an engineers inspection and report and changes made to his registration paperwork.
Since this is a pre-dpf model, we’ve chucked in a GSL turbo-back twin exit stainless steel exhaust so now you hear it before you see it.
The tray is fitted with plenty of accessories including on-board air and water systems, rear draw, blacked out flooring sheets and the new halo style LED tail lights with progressive indicators.
The canopy is the latest and greatest to come out of the woodwork and fitted out with our new SE Powerwall (C) which includes an Enerdrive 200ah lithuim battery, AC & DC chargers, 2000w pure sine wave inverter, all neatly packed into the front wall with easy to read Simarine touch screen with 4-channel shunt display which is also bluetoothed enabled so you can always check your power consumption anytime.
Throughout the time building this rig Harrison and I have formed a good friendship and we both cant wait to get out on the tracks together.
