Here’s our latest complete vehicle build, a brand-new 2024 GXL, delivered straight from the dealership and built into a true go-anywhere tourer.

The owner, Ben, is a former underground driller from the south coast of Australia. Now out of the game, it was time to treat himself, and his new young family to something special. A vehicle tough enough to last decades, and one day be handed down to the kids.

After a few calls and emails, we mapped out a plan. Using the spec sheets from our previous builds shown here on our website, Ben was able to pick and choose what suited him best. That gave us a solid base to create a tailored build — something practical for daily family use, capable enough for weekend camping, and ready to evolve into a full-time tourer as the kids grow.

Ben had the 79 delivered to us from his Toyota dealership down south, and from there, we took care of the rest. The end result? A turn-key, ready-to-drive ultimate touring rig on a coil sprung rear end, 4″ lift, full tray and canopy package the works. To save Ben the hassle, we also handled all the SSM paperwork, weighbridge certificate and compliance certificates needed for registration. That meant he could register the vehicle locally to him, bring the plates with him, and simply drive his new pride and joy home.
