We had the pleasure of building this vehicle for a lovely, down-to-earth, hard-working couple from Victoria, the southern end of Australia. After years of saving, dreaming, and planning, we were proud to help bring their ultimate touring rig to life.

Greg and Annita picked up their brand-new 79 Series from the dealership and made the overnight trek to Sydney with a hired car trailer in tow. From that point on, it was smooth sailing. They handed us the keys, and we took care of every detail of the build, allowing them to sit back, relax, and enjoy watching their dream 79 take shape.

From the start, they knew what they wanted . A tough, reliable 79 that could take them around Australia in comfort and style, without compromise. After a few initial emails and phone calls, getting to know them, and working through their priorities, we began shaping a build that balanced performance, touring practicality, and timeless aesthetics.

We started with the essentials: a rear coil conversion and GVM upgrade package designed to handle the extra weight of touring gear and long stretches of corrugated road. From there, we installed our SE Built premium tray and canopy setup, complete with custom Enerdrive 12v set up, fridge, water tank and a roof top tent— giving them the storage and self-sufficiency needed for weeks off-grid.

This is more than a car to them, it’s a symbol of their hard work, patience, and love for adventure. It was a privilege to play a part in it, and we can’t wait to see the places this Cruiser will take them.
