WORK WEAPON

NOVEMBER, 2024

Built for the owner of a high-end construction company Moffat Builders, we had the pleasure of delivering Craig his dream Work Weapon.

Not his first Toyota Landcruiser, the owner knew exactly what he wanted, something a bit different to his current stock dual cab 79 he has at home, this time he wanted it longer.

This build features a Jmacx 300mm chassis extension and rear coil conversion, designed to carry weight and bring the centre of mass over and forward of the rear axle. If you look at a traditional dual cab 79 series from side on, you will see the majority of the tray hangs behind the rear axle. This extension fixes that, brings the weight forward giving the vehicle better handling, better braking and increasing the payload volume by allowing a 300mm longer tray!

Whilst the vehicle was having these changes done to the chassis, our team was busy manufacturing his custom tray with all our work done in-house at our Sydney headquarters.

Once completed our client took the vehicle home for 6 months and obviously extremely happy with our work, called us back to put an order in for a 900mm wide half-canopy which we were happy to oblige.

Now craig has a true work weapon, the ability to remove the canopy, put the full length drop sides on and use this beast for whatever life throws at it, building materials, full size pallets of bricks or tiles for example, throwing a coupee of dirt bikes or even a Can-Am Defender/Commander or even a full size slide-on camper! Things like this are not achievable with a standard dual cab tray size. When that’s all done, he can simply chuck the ½ canopy back on, switch out the drop sides for the shorter ones and now he’s got ample, dry, dust-sealed storage perfect for luggage or a secure place to store his work tools.

If you’re interested in a build like this, please get in touch with our sales team and lets make it happen.
