Our business building ute trays has slowly evolved into something much more. Full vehicle builds. With clients wanting a one stop shop, where they can leave it to one company to project manage the whole build has quickly become a common theme here at Shannons Engineering.

With this particular build, like many others, we sourced the vehicle through our contacts at Toyota and secured the vehicle. It came straight off the boat from Japan to us, cutting out the dealership at this early stage as it was to be built into something completely different to how it arrived.

The owner came to us wanting a tough built cruiser, built for work and would mainly be used for towing excavators, tipper trailers and picking the kids up from school. Whilst owning a excavation business he was continually copping fines by driving his 3 Tonne tipper down quiet suburban streets to access his job sites with the excavator so this lead to needing a V8 turbo diesel ‘hauler’ with 5 seats, and a tray to carry a couple of digger attachments.
