WHITE RHINO
AUGUST, 2022
Gday guys and girls and thanks for tuning in. What your about to see below is by far the biggest and most bad arse build we’ve done to date and we’re bloody proud of it.
We’ve handled this build from day one including procurement of the vehicle from our local Toyota dealership, down to every nut, bolt and wire you see before us. Working with such a top bloke of a client has made this process super easy and such a fun project to be a part of and making his dream come true with such an epic all-rounder and Aussie outback tourer.
Throughout the build process, we’ve had every unforseeable setback you could think of including 2 rounds of Covid 19 lockdowns, NSW/QLD floods and every overseas parts supply chain delays you could think of. Somehow we made it through and delivered a showstopping vehicle and made a lucky couples dream come true.
There’s a whole heap of new concepts included in this build which sets it in front of any other 79 on our site, most of these additions I can see being used on many more to come. Things like applying Raptor Liner to the front wheel arches and cabin sils along with an additional Raptor Liner coat to the bull bar and side steps for a bush proof finish.
Another feature which was trialed on my SE-BOSS build is the in-cab airbag controls located in the modified centre console and fabrication of the switch panel.
We’ve also gone with a Redarc Redvision 12v electrical fitout in the canopy with some pretty impressive control of all the hardware throughout the canopy and also installed a second display in replacement of the rear view mirror. Instead of the mirror, to see out the back simply press a button on the 10.5″ Kenwood head unit and you’ll have unobstructed view out the back with use of a high quality commercial camera located up near the ladder on the rear of the canopy which is great for lane changing or simply checking out if your trailer is still there haha.
Make sure to sit back, grab a beer and check out the video below,
Thanks for reading.
